Friday Jul 31, 2020
Ok! Not as much sports "Dirt" in this podcast as we come to you live from Krazy Cajun Kitchen & Market! We discuss the music we love in front of a live audience, and rather than playing samples from the bands who recorded the tunes, we play them ourselves! You might notice the edits get a little longer as the band gets warmed up! Ha!
The Tuxedo Cats always play two long sets. These are excerpts from the first set. Look for "Live from Krazy Cajun Part 2" very soon! BTW. The second set usually rocks HARD! So don't miss it!

The Chiefs and Oh By the Way, Which One's Pink?
Tuesday Jul 14, 2020
Tuesday Jul 14, 2020
In this episode of Rocks and Dirt, Todd is compared to Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, Mike is jealous of Kansas City Chiefs' quarterback Pat Mahomes, and Steve spews more facts and figures than is probably legal in one podcast. Special guest appearance by Mahomes family friend, Joe Rodriquez. #RocksAndDirt #TheTuxedoCats

Tim, Toto and Yogi!
Wednesday Jul 01, 2020
Wednesday Jul 01, 2020
Tim Letsch makes his R&D debut and approaches Steve-level knowledge about Toto, a legendary band many love but few know much about. Steve counters with a litany of Yogi-isms from the bio of New York Yankee great Yogi Berra. Join Tuxedo Cats' Mike, Todd, Steve, and Tim for Rocks and Dirt, and be the smartest guy at work tomorrow.

“Bruce and Bikes”
Wednesday Jun 24, 2020
Wednesday Jun 24, 2020
Join Tuxedo Cats Mike, Todd, and Steve for a spirited debate over the class and caliber of one BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and his value in the annals of classic rock history. Even resident rock historian Steve admitted to just above average knowledge of “The Boss” from New Jersey, while Mike didn’t know as much as he thought he did. And as always, Todd knew exactly how much he knew.
But when it comes to stumping the band, this week’s Rocks and Dirt guest, cycling enthusiast Robert Dodd from Tyler schooled us with information, statistics, and practical knowledge about all things bikes from Tour De France history to local bicycling laws. Our collective I.Q.s rose significantly, though some would argue they had nowhere else to go but up.
This fine podcast was sponsored by Nutty’s Gourmet Peanut Butter in Jefferson, Texas. Mmm-MMM! That’s good eatin’ Aunt Bee!

Zeppelin and Dallas
Friday Jun 19, 2020
Friday Jun 19, 2020
Join the Rocks and Dirt Guys for this special presentation with the heavies of heavy metal, Led Zeppelin. In this episode, Steve is in rare form, spouting stats, facts, and song titles like an auctioneer on First Monday. I don’t even know what that means. You’ll just have to tune in!
We also take a trip down memory lane and run down the Dallas Championships teams, and guess which team comes out on top. I bet you get it in one try or my name isn’t Roger Staubach.
So join Mike, Todd, and Steve for this week’s edition of Rocks and Dirt. You’ll not only learn a little bit about classic rock and sports, you’ll feel better about yourself too. Just like all the cool kids.

"The Who" and the what with the 2020 NBA

The Who and the What about the Who and the NBA
Today’s RocksCast aka DirtCast is first a tribute to the Who, one of Mike’s key musical influences. Steve’s knowledge of the “Whogroup”, of course shines particularly bright, because, well, he’s still got all his brain cells. Todd, as always, is masterful at pushing buttons.
After a quick and quirky commercial break for Rinlee Bros. Tractor and Service, (which pretty much saves the show) be sure to listen at about ten minutes in for the triumphant R&D debut of KVNE guy My Friend Fletch. This night-time radio jock and former round baller not only helps us solve the controversial state of the NBA, he’s also very, very clean.
Don’t miss this special Rocks and Dirt episode. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you just may want to call your loved ones. Please drive carefully, and join us each week!

Good Things Come to Those Who Bait.
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
Wednesday Jun 03, 2020
The Rocks and Dirt gang reel in a whopper with local rocker/angler Steve Terry. Steve not only brought the goods on the how to, the where to, and the why to fish, but he knows a thing or two about 70s classic rock, too.
We swap stories on everything from guitar heroes, to long solos, and the one that got away. We also introduce a new sponsor in Cable’s Roofing, and launch the debut the Rocks and Dirt Players!
It’s one tall tale after the next on this episode of R&D!

Scott's awesome resumé & Not True Jimmy S!
Wednesday May 27, 2020
Wednesday May 27, 2020
Unlike Todd... Scott is very humble about his musical background. You almost have to pry it out of him, but he opens up and answers our questions about playing with Merle Haggard, Johnny Lee and many more! Friend of the band Jimmy Simmons came on to school us about NASCAR and finds himself having to defend baseball before he can get away, as Todd wants to move auto racing into the "Americas Sport" position. Don't miss this episode of Rocks & Dirt. A production of The Tuxedo Cats®
